Warned not to use the self-cleaning feature

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After I purchased the appliance and had it installed, I was warned by the appliance dealer that I should NOT use the self-cleaning feature because there have been customer complaints that the interior paint bubbles off when the self-cleaning option is used. I am not happy about this as I was given the option to buy a manual-clean oven for $200 less and chose the self-cleaning option for convenience. Now it appears that I should not use it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This wall oven has been designed per UL guidelines, and has been manufactured to handle the high temperatures needed for a self-cleaning cycle. There really should be no problem with you running a self-clean cycle when needed. Please familiarize yourself with the instructions for self-clean on pages 15-16 in your Owner’s Manual. I love its looks, the self-cleaning & fan features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m so happy with my new oven after doing without one for 2 months. The oven controls are simple to use and care/cleaning is easy.
