Needs bright sunlight to be effective. The battery seems to discharge on its own over a few days.
I like the directional sundial and the stand.

So far no good...

So far I have not had a lot of luck. It does not always charge when it should. Also seems to have an issue when in sun for a while. Get all 4 LED's blinking like its faulted. Still trying to figure it out. I will give it a wall charge and one more chance.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This solar panel is perfect for my needs. I have worked to create a go-trunk in my car which will allow me to set up a camp with a tent, sleeping bags, seating and enough food for 4-5 weeks. However, during the emergency I also have a go-backpack in the trunk to get me by until the more formal camp can be set up. This panel meets my need for a power source for my phone or tablet and easily fits into that backpack.

Huge mistake having bought this tool

I bought this tool about one year ago. Because of Covid-pandemia I couldn't test it up to now. Yesterday first trial was catastrophic. Always only one of the LED was shining for a short while with sun-energy as well as cordless-charger. No charging signal on my cordless after having connected it. Neither in full sun (optima position) any charging activity. Unfortunately I can't reproduce the shop, where I bought panel. That means wastage of money for nothing. What a pity!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great product & still going strong

We bought one of these 7 or 8 years ago... whenever it was first released. We don't use it that often but in between charges our unit has held 4 out of 5 lights on the meter for over a year sitting in a book case. Unbelievable. Charging a device while simultaneously charging the panel is genius.
