poor metal on the back of hood !

we chose to use the extender because we have 12 ft ceilings .. the vent hood sags because the metal used on the back is very thin and wobbly .. this makes the tabs on the bottom of the bottom vent extender pop out and this causes the top of the same part to sag forward and not stay aligned in the middle where the 2 pieces join.. also , you can see a hole where the vent attaches to the hood ...We are having to use double sided sticky carpet tape to hold it together in the middle ..If there are differences in installing the 10ft extender vs the standard one .. I wouldn't know .. there were no instructions with it

I bought this hood from an appliance distributor, not realizing that we needed an extra 10' ceiling extension kit. Now, the hood is installed and we can't get the extension kit because of some manufacturing delay. Added to the fact that it's expensive, installation of the regular vent/duct covers has been challenging. The design of the covers, the way they line up with the hood - all frustrating. I would NOT buy this hood if I had to do it again

Hard to assemble

We have had to order two different ceiling duct cover kits and still unable to attach this cover correctly. My husband has worked three days on it and it's holding up our tile back splash installation. There were no screws that came with this kit. We have it in slate and using silver screws! Will have to try and cover them up to match. Even our builder bailed on us when it came to installation so we are winging it alone. Very hard to install.

I ordered this for my 9ft 4 in ceilings. It was significantly too long. Trying to find options besides cutting it down.
