I bought one a couple of years ago and it's still going strong as ever.It heats up a whole room quickly and the price is so cheap for how much heat it gives off.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is quiet, and produces a lot of heat. I really like the thermostat and tip-over safety features (which the older version didn't have). I set it on a stool to keep from blowing dust on the floor, with foil insulation on top of the stool. It has both a fan and a heater. The "low" setting of the heater works fine, but the "high" setting tends to make it smell (kind of like plastic), so I only use the low setting which also uses less wattage. I found that the earlier version of this heater had the same characteristic. The cord is a plain 2-prong, which makes it easier to place into any outlet.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Shuts off after running for a minute or two.

I am very disappointed with this heater. I set it to high and the fan speed to high, it runs for a minute or two (gets hot and the fan spins) and then it shuts off. I'm not sure what the issue is. I've tried all the troubleshooting in the manual.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have working Holmes heater that I bought many years ago, and I love the temperature setting in a number. This heater HFH 2985 has performed beautifully but is old and dusty and I worried about fire so have tried to find an exact new one and you don't have it! You have none you can set to an exact temp.

I have had this type of heater for over 6 years! Great for a small size room. I live in a mobile home and it warms up our bedroom fast! Would definitely recommend it!

I have used this heater for about 3 weeks to heat a small bathroom. It works well for the small space. I only use it for about an hour each day but it meets my requiremets.

This fan has a solid ability to generate wind. However, the particular one I got has an issue in that each time it turns off, it "rings like a bell" (like the old phones). The reason seems to be that as it slows the blade is hitting the metal heat coils - I am not sure if it is damaging them. The fan does work alright when it is running normally (the noise only occurs when the fan is shut off).
