Powerful and effective fan in a small, great-looking package! The only feedback I have is about the color/design - would prefer the base to be all one color without the brass. Would love to see more versions of this fan in different colors. (e.g., muted vintage colors like olive, matte caramel, etc.) Thank you for making a great product!

Love it, but not to be

I loved this fan, but unfortunately, it just wasn't meant to be. It is very cute, a little darker than the photos suggested, and the perfect look for my vintage styled room, but the reason I wanted a Vornado was because two of my friends had regular ones that I fell in love with. Unfortunately, I had to return it for two reasons.
1) The white noise wasn't quite like the other Vornado fans I liked. Its a little quieter, and on the highest setting, there is an underlying frequency that MOST people will not catch but I do. Not at all bothersome during the day while I'm working, but I do catch it at night while I'm trying to sleep. I can assure you that if you're not an audio engineer like me, you will not notice it. I just have extremely sensitive hearing.
2) It is the tiniest bit less powerful than the regular Vornado (I compared with my roommate's). Maybe its just my room shape as I have 12ft high ceilings and almost no circulation in my room when the door is closed. I hoped this would help, but unless I point the fan directly at myself through the night, I am still hot and stuffy by morning. I will update this once I get a regular Vornado and can compare the night sleep.
I don't want to discourage anyone else away from this fan. It just wasn't a good fit for me personally.

I bought this as a christmas present for my husband who strongly desires sleeping next to a jet-engine. I do not share his enthusiasm for fans, so this is much cuter on the bedside table than a jet-engine and still puts out some air!
