BIG bang for your buck

First, I want to say that I really love this tablet, EXCEPT, the camera doesn't function correctly after you download the new software. It apparently has to do with lighting as the camera will work indoors, but when I go out in my yard, it will not work properly. I returned the first two tablets thinking there was something wrong with them, but it turns out this is a problem with this tablet. If you don't plan to use the camera on the tablet or don't mind waiting for a software update to fix it or don't mind sending it in to be fixed, then this tablet is a great buy. I love it. I now have the Student Edition that comes with the keyboard and USB port. I am afraid to download the latest software. I still think it is a good buy as you can move pictures into the tablet from another device if you just want to enjoy looking at pictures. Maybe the Student Edition doesn't have this problem, but I'm afraid to take a chance until I have to!! Then I will work around it and hope they fix it.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color, Lightweight, does everything my girlfriends ipad does and more
Cons: camera problem with new software

Email problems

I tried two different Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 Student editions and could not get either one to accept my email accounts. The Geek Squad had no luck as well. I had difficulty connecting to my PCs, as well.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations, no connection to email
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great alternative to my laptop

A great travel companion that keeps me in entertained and in touch on the go without the extra weight. I had also looked at the Ipod touch but main drawback for the touch is the lack of expanded storage feature. Way to go Samsung you got it right!

This is great for trips and every day use. The only thing that will make it better is a 4 g connection.
Con: screen gets a little dark at times for no known reason.

Love the Samsung 7" Tablet

I have bought 3 of them for me and family members. It has the best screen of any I've seen. The IR is a great added feature and allows you to also use it for a remote control for your TV and devices connected to it. My first one started out with Market Place but then the upgrade changed that to Google Play Store which is great, also includes an Office Program that's compatible with MS Office, called Polaris. The SDcard slot allows you to add more memory, and you can even use more that one card to organize your files. The speaker is powerful.
