A great tablet for the money. I has lots of room for storage on the micro SD card so I can have my favorite music and videos when there is no WiFi available for streaming. Its has a great looking screen. It runs the apps I use as fast as I want. It is the perfect size for traveling. You cannot go wrong with the Galaxy Tab 2 7.
I have had my Samsung Galaxy Tab™ 2 7.0 (Wi-Fi) 8GB unit for about 4 months now. Overall I really like it. It is slim, light weight, and looks awesome. I get lots of compliments on this unit. Now I would like to point out this is my FIRST tablet, and I am still learning the ways of Android technology, so with that said here is some small items I find odd about this unit. First I notice that the screen does not always change direction when changing the unit angle. It will stay froze unless I really work it back and forth. The battery life seems OK on full charge, charging time seems long. But I can live with that. The programing installed took me a bit to figure out, and honestly I would have liked a "quick start guide". The manual really kind of left you alone to figure out how the unit works.
Now I did just get a major update from Samsung today and it is installed on my unit. I have noticed some neat changes, but have not looked into all of them yet.
Overall...for the price, it is a fun easy to use tablet. it does it all and works great. I do recommend this unit for the price minded who wants good quality and a useful dependable tablet. Thank you Samsung!!!!
We own two and they run well, however, one could not be seen by the computer and the only solution is a factory reset which means all the set up time is right down the toilet. There needs to be a way to dump all they system settings and program settings onto a SD Card so it can be recovered. The other extremely annoying issue is that there are no arrow keys on the on screen keyboard. Using my fat finger to pinpoint touch the edit area in impossible. We also have two Samsung Stratospheres and the google based programs we purchased were picked up in the initial tablet set up ... not the data on where we were. Why can't Samsung get a camera that shoots when you click to take the shot ... that and no flash will make the camera feature worthless.
Pros: Bright display
Cons: keyboard arrow keys, back up ease, camera -bush league
