I feel like other than a new slimmer case this tablet isnt anything new over the original galaxy tab 7. The specs are the same except this new one has a downgraded none AMOLED screen, which in my view is the whole point in going with samsung, for the awesome AMOLED screen. Otherwise theres not really a difference between this tablet and all the other tablets on the market, everyone uses android and a pretty good quality LED screen. Why make your product look the same instead of stand out? Feel like Samsung dropped the ball on this one.
Pros: Inexpensive, Durable, Lightweight
Cons: Not high def, no amoled
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great!

I love this product a lot, but I was disappointed in some aspects. The tablet is occasionally slow and freezes for very short bursts of time. Also, the fact that it doesn't have a direct USB port in its self is a bit of a downside. Other than that it has met my expectations, and I'm very happy with it.
For the price, the functionality and appeal of the Samsung Galaxy Tab™ 2 7.0 is Superb!
Pros: Built-in speakers, Inexpensive, Lightweight

First Tablet Experience

Have had the Tablet 2.0 7 inch for 2 weeks now. I do love it for many of it's functions, but I don't love the software interface. I'm still discovering things; I don't feel you move thru the choices intuitively. It took me a while to figure out i hadn't accessed all the apps which are on my Samsung phone. As I said, I'm still learning, but wish the curve wasn't going to so long and wish it sync'd completely with my Samsung Infuse phone...probably because tab has latest Android 4.0 & Infuse only has 2.2 which leads me to my question or demand: Samsung, provide software update for those of us who have older Android versions!!! Even if u charged a nominal $10-20 I'd buy it, but can't replace the phone so I'm stuck unless you help your loyal consumers!
Cons: learning curve, lists 8gb size but only 4.59 available internal

It's a nice beginner tablet for anyone who doesn't want to spend alot of money on a larger tablet. I've used mine for about 2 months now and works great for what I use it for. However, I am disappointed that it will not allow me to move apps to the external sd card.
Cons: cannot move apps to sd card, a little sluggish at times, battery life could be longer

the minor issues I am having are related to the system locking up for 1 reason or another, but it appears to be related to the OS or apps. Not related to the samsung itself.
THis is my first tablet and I have already recommended it to everyone I talk to.
I am very disappointed that this does not support 5 GHz!

I am very disappointed that this does not support 802.11 n at 5 GHz! It makes it useless for my job because our WIFI network is only set up for 5 GHz to reduce interference at 2.4 GHz.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color
