lack of memory is a problem

the operating system and samsung apps take up over 4 gigs of memory, so you don't really have much free space available for additional apps and downloads. You can use a 32 gig SD card, but samsung/android won't let you move any apps to the SD card. So with the SD card you can have lots of photos, but still only limited space for any apps or tool that would make this tablet useful. Basically it's real purpose it just to stream movies, check email/facebook, and maybe read ebooks. If that is all you need, then it's an ok tablet, if you want more functionality, find something with better memory flexibility, or a manufacturer that doesn't use up your memory with unwanted apps.
Pros: Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations, no memory, useless sd card integration
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I like my galaxy tab 2 7.0. It is a good size to tote around in my bag and it does so much. The only con so far is that the battery runs down so fast. I expected to be able to read on it like a Kindle(days), not just a few hours.
Pros: Lightweight
Cons: battery

This is a really neat tablet that is great for the person on the go and the size is perfect for people who don't really like a big tablet to carry around. The biggest con I would the processor speed there is a little lag going from screen to screen but other than that its an excellent choice for a tablet at a great affordable price!

I got mine at Best Buy so I got to play with it before I bought it and I am glad I did so cause this was they best for the price.

Fun & educational value

I began with wanting to get my 8 year old a kindle fire for Christmas because he loves to read. When looking at all the options and my S3 this seemed to be the best buy. My child is in a cyber school managing his assignments/due dates on his own. He now has the paperless calendar, DropBox, Kindle app...for school and tons of fun games too. Great multi-purpose idea. (Oh, it's a TV remote too!)
Pros: Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
