When i was deciding on a tablet the Nexus 7 was just released so it was gonna be between this one and the nexus 7. The samsung quality and proprietary apps (peel) won me over. Even though the nexus had higher screen rez i was extremely pleased with the features of the galaxy tab. Price has gone way down since my purchase making it an even sweeter deal. Also just got my Jelly bean update 2 days ago so its like a whole new tablet. Owning this tablet also prompted me to purchase a samsung tv which syncs perfectly with the use of Samsungs Allshare play app.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: Not high def
I would recommend this to a friend!

So I bought a Galaxy Note 10.1 and I love it - but it's a bit awkward to handle. Then I notice the Tab 2 7.0, and it fits in the hand MUCH better! Imagine a strap on the back to slip your left hand through, which holds the unit firm while typing with the right...
Pros: Inexpensive

Purchased for my son's 13th Birthday. Jan 28th. its only the 14th of Jan right now and I am debating on keeping it and ordering him another one. Well Made and the Ease of use is crazy. I already own a Galaxy S III so navigation on the Tab 2, 7inch is easy. I know he will love it. I think I am more excited to see his face when he opens it. I know he will be stoked. Would definitely recommend to others.

OS upgrade

I was really enjoying the unit until the OS was upgraded. Now I need a magnifying glass to read the labels for the icons on the screen. The bottom layout has been split so that more hand movements are required and more accidental screen touches occur. Personally, I prefer the OS that came with the unit. I was planning to upgrade to a 10" but now I'll likely go to an iPad.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Lightweight
Cons: need a magnifying glass with the new os
