My first tablet

This was my first tablet and I am so glad I got it. I didn't know what to expect from a tablet. I didn't want to spend alot since I knew nothing about tablets. I was so happy with it that I have moved up to the Galaxy Note. TheTab 2 7.0 was a great value and so easy to use that my 6 and 2 year old use it all the time. try it out you won't be disappointed.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Lightweight, easy to use, very fast, great value
I would recommend this to a friend!

Forced updates that remove functionality total lack of respect from SAMSUNG

I bought one of this tables running with the ICS 4.0.4 version and I had Zero problems with my tablet, one day it told me there was an update and there was no way to decline the update all I could do was to delay it 3 hours at most, every time in the middle of whatever I was doing it will interrupt after 3 hours to insist on the upgrade. There was absolutely zero information about the type of update, well after several delays I decided to get the update and that was my worst mistake. It re-arranged and removed many of my icons on my home screen. now instead of 1 bar with buttons and notifications there were 2 bars one at the top one at the bottom. The one with the clock and the notifications is at the top and cant be seen while you are in an app. You have to exit your app to see the battery charge, the clock and the notifications. The snapshot GONE, instead of one simple button that took the snapshot you need 2 hands and if you are lucky you will get the snapshot. several other changes, like the IR remote that was not working. The location of some icons in the home screen now have a fixed location and turning your tablet won't move them. SAMSUNG basically didn't care about customer impact and forced customers to blindly trust them. BTW. 2 hours after the upgrade the tablet froze for the first time. There have been many many many complains about this. NO MORE SAMSUNG products for me.
Cons: Did not meet expectations, updates downgrade functionality
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have always been a "FanBoy" of Samsung product, and why not be. They all around just make a solid product. This was my first tablet purchase, but I have "played" around with plenty. Due to the fact that my experience, I am planning on purchasing a Tab 10 for home and another Tab 7 so that I can take it to work with me to be more productive there....yessss Tablets just aren't useful entertainment tools, you can actually accomplish quite a few tasks with it as well :) But I do like that I can still take a break and have fun all at the same time

Great Tablet

The only real con that I can mention is the power button is too close to the corner so that my zippered cover elastic holder hits it. This causes frequent rebooting of the Tab. I had to modify the holder by sewing it out of the way, but this means that the holder has less to hold.
Pros: Inexpensive, Durable, Lightweight

This is a good product from Samsung. They are good at making stuff. First, I would like to say that this is an awesome product. The only real concern I have with this is that it comes with preloaded stuff to make the tablet work and all that but it takes up half of the hard drive. I've basically had this for 6 months haven't filled the memory yet. This tablet has a kinda good kinda bad camera. It is only 3MPs so I guess it's fine. This tablet also has a REALLY hard screen. It has been through a lot and it is still working properly with no cracks. This is ALOT better then the kindle fire HD or what ever. Just sayin'. This tablet is also about as fast as the iPhone 5 sense I've seen someone download an app on it and on mine. Basically the same speed(I didn't time it). This also good for reading. This tablet is basically the best thing that hit the market because of its size and features, it is the best Android 4.0 7 inch screen that is this price. Over all, great product Samsung! I really like it!
