The tablet itself is nice and easy to use. The problem is that the tablet comes pre-loaded with a ton of apps loaded by Samsung that cannot be removed, and less than half the internal storage is allotted to storing the apps, including all the junk provided by Samsung.
Combine that with the fact that they have limited the hardware functionality so that you can't move apps to the external SD card storage and you have a very limited device that fills up fast.
If you want a real tablet and insist on staying with the Samsung brand, get a GT-P6210 if you can still find it. That is the older version of this, and has at least double the feature set including the ability to control where apps are loaded. That one I gave a 5 star review.
Word from Samsung is that this is the new model of building the hardware - limiting them so that you can't move apps around. So good luck everyone! I'm switching my brand of choice.
Pros: Inexpensive
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, can't control where apps go, fewer features than older models
I bought this product as a gift for my wife who wants to view movies, and was disappointed to learn that it does not support the HDMI adapter. In my opinion this is a serious shortcoming.
I am so happy with my Galaxy Tab 2 - I can watch tv shows, listen to music and even read books and magazines. It is small enough to fit right into my purse and the screen is large enough to do everything.
I even purchased a pen stylus to make it easier to navigate. This was a great investment.
The features included with this tablet are great. Personally i liked the +50GB Dropbox promo storage. It would be greater if it had a 6000+mAH battery. 2GB of RAM would make the device a super economic one.
I was excited when I first made this purchase. Android 4.0 updating to 4.1.1 Jelly Bean in the near future. Compact and powerful is what I thought. What I actually got was a very slow and lethargic tablet. Touchscreen is slow at best and for a good portion of the time very unresponsive. Some of the features(most Samsungs own apps) lock up the tablet, enough to where I have to hold the power button down for 45 seconds to get it to reboot. Not worth the frustration for me.
Bought this tablet at Costco a few months back and it has not disappointed. Great value and product features. I would have given it 5 stars if it had HDMI capability...
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, better than ipad mini
