I will update this review once this tablet is supported with similar accessories as other tablets. Keyboards, USB connections/cords, HDMI output to TV, etc... until then this is an incomplete tablet.
Pros: Lightweight
Cons: Not high def, no accessories
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Unit and Carry Case

Product is fine. Instuctions are very limited!
Unless you are a PC buff, it will take you time to get acclimated to this product. I bougt it for my wife and she is finding it a slow learning process.
Someone must create a case where you you use the cameras wihout removing the TAB from the case to shoot a picture. Also a shoulder strap would help as it is to big for many ladies purses, and certainly does not fit into a man's pocket.
Great fun, takes excellent quality pictures and is relatively fast.

A tablet that screams "take me wherever you go!"

I bought this tablet and used it for almost two weeks, then I gave it to my mother as a belated mothers' day gift. Price you pay versus tablet you get, the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 is a great value. It has a sensible design, and with its size and weight this tablet motivates you to take it with you wherever you go.
Performance-wise, this tablet stutters a little bit when you have a few programs open, but even then it isn't an unbearable lag. With some optimization, Samsung could tweak the performance to be better. The battery last for two days of moderate use or a day and a little bit more with heavy use. Colors look beautiful on its screen. Just make sure you have something to wipe the screen clean frequently because it's a smudge magnet!
If you are looking for a small tablet, or are just getting initiated in the mobile technology, there's no competition. Nothing out there beats the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0's value. You get the whole Android experience plus Samsung added value in a price point where you could only get nameless tablets without the true Android experience or tablets locked to proprietary ecosystems.
I'm happy rocking a Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 and very happy seeing my mom having no troubles with her Galaxy Tab 2 7.0.

Cons: performance isn't awful but could've been better

Overall a good product

First off this product can not be beat in the value:features:performance ratio. It's quick and efficient, has a decent processor and 1gb of RAM which is definitely a plus. It handles video playback quite well. I wanted something simple for browsing the internet and reading books but also wanted bluetooth and a camera for video chat.
Android ICS and Samsung's TouchWiz UI are working excellently together. Overall if you want a small tablet that has more than an e-reader this is for you. Highly recommend it, go out and buy one!

Cons: Not high def

Exceeds my expectations

I researched tablets before I bought the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 and I can say that after a couple of weeks I still am glad I purchased the tablet. It's fast, has a great battery life, and does what I want it to. The apps from the Google Play store (Android market) make it ever versatile. I love my little tablet. It's just the right size for me!

I LOVE Samsung...and I think that the Galaxy Tab to has great value, don't get me wrong but there are a few things that bother me about the Galaxy Tab 2.
First, I am NOT happy about the fact that you cannot move the apps to the SD Card! Ugh! Considering that there is on 8GB internal memory that bothers me a whole lot...you can expand the external memory to 32GB however you can NOT move the Apps to SD, even with the horde of "Move 2 SD" apps out there.
Second, no USB. Doesn't really charge when hooked up to the computer. The charger is rather short too.
Third, the camera...on 3MP. WOW! Not great and no flash. My phone that cost fifty bucks less (Samsung Galaxy Attain) has the same camera AND has a LED flash.
Also, I do not love that there are no dedicated buttons outside of the screen. I guess that is just preference, but I happened to like them.
Overall, for the price...it is a good tablet for the price. I am just mentioning what could have been improved upon.

Cons: no usb, camera 3mp, no flash, unable to move apps to sd

Great Kids Tablet

My Daughter saved up for an Ipad, but decided on this cheaper alternative. Great little gadget and perfect for email, chat and games.
