Not being able to transfer apps to the external sd card is a deal breaker for me, also seems ICS is not always backward compatible to previous andriod os. Will be giving this to my 8 year old.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very Exciting Experience

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 is amazing. It's a cheap tablet for all features it provides. You can have an exciting experience if you purchases it.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, slot micro sd card

Overall performance is a little sluggish. Yes, it has a dual core processor but it lags more than it should on a lot of functions.
If you use Exchange, Samsung seems to have a problem. Initial connections go great, but then you start getting security warnings. Google turns up lots of other people having problem with Samsung products, so it looks like the folks at Samsung have some sort of bug they haven't been able to fix.
Camera is missing a flash.
Overall, pretty happy with it but the Exchange problem really bugs me.

Still having a few problems learning how to use this thing... No instructions with the tablet.... 233 pages online. Gift from my hubby... he is amazed at the volume on the speakers.
I just can't seem to put it down.... This is the first time I have been on my laptop computer in a week...
Great Product.
Only reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that there are still too many things for my old mind to figure out. I am 63..

I am a first time tablet user and I wanted a brand that I trust but the limited space for Apps is not good(4.59GB) when It is a 8GB device. Samsung should not have put 3.41 GB of bloatware on a brand new tablet.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: limited storage, no hdmi port, no usb port
I would recommend this to a friend!

Best Tablet So Far!

My Galaxy Tab2 is so far the best of 3 tablets I own. For the price you cannot beat it if you are looking for a mobile device that you can easily travel with to get your email, internet, and be entertained with. Android 4.0 is a winner and the Galaxy Tab2 is one of the first to market with the right product. My only issue so far is the signal strength of the wi-fi antenna. Have to be within 15-20 feet of the wireless service if you want to stream video or music. Not a major problem, but be aware. Anyway go get one, cause the rest of the story is great!!!

Cons: wifi antenna strength
