I have owned my tab2 for a month now. This device is perfect for what I use it for: play games from Gplay, listen to my music, an e-reader, check my email and look up stuff. ICS makes this device move thru requests fast with no bog down and holds a charge for several hours (under power-saving & low usage time). Charging the battery takes roughly 3hr to fully charge it. It has preloaded stuff, though some of it I don't use, yet. I have not experienced any freezes or glitches. On-board memory capacity is good and the ability to add more is awesome. I am quite satisfied with my tablet.
i GOT IT AND AT FIRST WASN'T SURE. THE SALESMAN SAID IT WAS A GOOD PRODUCT. SO I SAID OK LETS DO IT...... TURNS OUT IT WAS THE BEST MOVE I MADE THAT DAY. CAN YOU BELIEVE A SALESMAN GOT IT RIGHT, I WAS HOOKED ON IT AND PLAYED ON IT FOR HOURS TRYING DIFFERENT THINGS. I WAS LIKE A KID ON CHRISTMAS.
Head to head comparison to Apple iOS 5 was very positive. The Android ICS software was more advanced than iOS 5, though took some time to master. Android apps still very limited compared to Apple apps, though most of what you need is available. Best part of Tab is the IR transmitter, along with the Peel app. You can control just about any TV, cable box, etc from your Tab. Overall, an excellent alternative to the Apple iPad at the 10" size, and definitely a better value than the Kindle Fire..
I am so pleased with this device. The speed at which it operates is well advanced of it's specification and proves that the devices is highly optimized for hardware and software-wise.
The one detraction is the Samsung "TouchWiz" interface. I would love it even more if it were simply a pure Android 4.0 device.
For the price, there is simply nothing that compares for the user experience that you get. Thank you, Samsung!
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Lightweight, android 4.0, great quality
