I have had the Tab 2 for a couple of months now. It's awesome. I use it 99% of the time as a media player for podcasts. Also some apps like Google Currents, Flipboard, etc. for news reading. I highly recommend this tablet!
I love the customization of Android vs iOS. I installed a different launcher, a different keyboard and different media players. I recommend Doggcatcher for podcasts!
It is a nice machine, however the first day I bought it, the camera did not function, and since then it likes to restart itself. My oldest child uses it for games, so its a fair product for that, but too expensive.
For me, it's the perfect size. Large enough for browsing, emails, games, and exploring maps, but small enough to fit in my pockets! Speakers are good, sometimes they find a way to be covered up when I'm using it. Screen is good, only con would be that it wasn't the sharpest out there. Fast, no problems when flipping through my screens or loading apps. Battery is solid, no problems and lasts me 3 days easily with average use. Takes a while to charge though. Front and rear camera will do the deal, but nothing outstanding.
Love the design, it holds well, not heavy, good balance. Clean and just a great look overall.
Would def recommend to a friend.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color
When I first heard about the 7.0 galaxy tablet. I looked more into it since I was already in search for a SMALL one. Samsung is my choice for electronics. The features are amazing I can not get ovee the size it's PERFECT fits right in my purse not bulky at all even with the case. images so realistic clear. It's very functionable easy to use.. I highly recommend this product for the on the go moms believe me it's VERY VERY convinent.
I HAVE HAD MY GALAXY FOR ABOUT A MONTH AND IT HAS BEEN A COMPLETE SUCCESS! I LOVE THIS TABLET , FOR THE PRICE IS IS GREAT!!! I DEFINATELY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.....
This not my first tablet but bought the Galaxy for its combination of features: Android 4, Sat-Nav, Bluetooth, Accelerometer, SDCard.
My dissapointment is that some of the features do not seem to work: 1) Bluetooth: woks ok for pairing with normal devices but I also expected to use with OBD-II automotive diagnostics tools. I have three programs and two different devices, none connect reliably, instead get incessant "Enter pairing Code" requests. None has a problem with Netbooks or tablets with earlier Android, only the Galaxy/ICS. 2) Navigation: Not very useful since often shows just a dot with no map or spends entire trip "getting driving instructions".
A bit more documentation of the included apps would be nice.
Do not regret buying just wist it was out of beta first.
Would like to be able to connect power and use USB and HDMI at same time. Wist it had a composite (video) input.
