Have had the Tablet 2.0 7 inch for 2 weeks now. I do love it for many of it's functions, but I don't love the software interface. I'm still discovering things; I don't feel you move thru the choices intuitively. It took me a while to figure out i hadn't accessed all the apps which are on my Samsung phone. As I said, I'm still learning, but wish the curve wasn't going to so long and wish it sync'd completely with my Samsung Infuse phone...probably because tab has latest Android 4.0 & Infuse only has 2.2 which leads me to my question or demand: Samsung, provide software update for those of us who have older Android versions!!! Even if u charged a nominal $10-20 I'd buy it, but can't replace the phone so I'm stuck unless you help your loyal consumers!
I LOVE this tablet! This is my first Android tablet and it is really east to use. I was a little concerned about the screen (having a Super AMOLED phone), but it is really clear and the colors are good, too. It is fast, snappy and gets the job done. The Smart Remote app works flawlessly with my regular Samsung TV (not Smart), but it wouldn't work with our DVR and I have yet to test the theater system. The camera is okay, but it's not a big deal. The whole tablet can do much more than what our iPad 2 can do, ESPECIALLY for the price. Highly recommended!
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color
I wanted an eReader & was considering another product. With Samsung's reputation for quality and the versitality & number of additional features, the Galaxy Tab 2 was, hands down, the best buy!
My wife and I went looking to buy either a Kindle Fire or Nook Tablet. We saw all the extra features that we could use with this Galaxy Tab 2 for basically the same price and the choice was a no brainer. We wanted a device that could do other things, but mainly want to use it as an ereader. After spending a little time with this device and seeing that it also supported bluetooth and expandable memory via microSD, we were sold!
I love this product a lot, but I was disappointed in some aspects. The tablet is occasionally slow and freezes for very short bursts of time. Also, the fact that it doesn't have a direct USB port in its self is a bit of a downside. Other than that it has met my expectations, and I'm very happy with it.
