Galaxy tab2 7.0 more than I expected

Not only does it have a naigation system but it shows maps and pictures. I am still learning all of the features that this Tab has and it is exciting.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color

In my opinion the Galaxy Tab 2 easily accomplishes what it says it can and in spots even exceeds a bit.
replacing my droid x2 as my tools for work and my toys for playing and entertainment. Since I'm almost always within wifi when I need or want to use a feature needing internet connections there wasn't a need to buy a 3g/4g contract tablet.
I save money having the Galaxy Tab 2 handle just about everything except pure basic cell phone voice calls.maybe some minor txting.
In WiFi tho text messages are simple to both send and receive. Even voice calls or VoIP apps are useable and strai9ght forward enough like with messaging tho you do need WiFi, and Bluetooth headset needed for full VoIP (talking needs additional accessories)
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color, Lightweight

I love it! It does everything I want it to, at a price far below an ipad. I find myself reaching for my tablet more and more, and my laptop less and less.

Tablet is easy to use & understand. I use it to check the newss now instead of the tv. I have three grandkids from 2 to 8 years and they have no problem accessing the games I loaded for them. Thanks Samsung.

Great "mini" tablet and universal remote

This is proven to be one of my smarter electronic purchases. The built in IR Blaster and Peel application has proven to be very usefull. The application does have room for improvement but overall a good thing. I bought this smaller tablet so I would have one thing sitting beside my chair to handle alot of different tasks. Now my books, all my remote controlls, my tv guide, twitter, web browser, email and more are right there in one condensed item. Makes it so much easier than having 10 things laying on the table to achieve all theses things. It's also affordable enough that I can just leave it there and take my 10.1 tab with me on the go. Display is sharp, it's easy to use, and has plenty of speed to not drive me nuts. I definately would recommend this to anyone out there.

Minor issues but good value for travel tablet

I wanted to replace my first-gen iPad with a 7" tablet. My choice came down to this device and the Nexus 7. Samsung won for one simple reason: the micro SD slot.
The Gtab is lighter than the iPad -- though hardly lightweight, especially when compared to a Nook Touch -- which makes a difference for extended reading of e-books, or reading while lying down. Being a smaller device, it's also easier to travel with; it doesn't take up as much room in a carry-on and it fits in a coat pocket (or even a cargo pocket in my shorts!). The micro SD card slot means I can carry more videos to watch on a plane, though the battery life for video isn't as long as I'd like. Battery life while streaming Netflix via WiFi is even less; it's good for 2 - 2.5 hours and then it's time to recharge.
I don't understand complaints I've read about the screen and its resolution. The screen is bright, colors look reasonably good, and playback is smooth. Any artifacts I've seen in videos come from the videos themselves, not the screen.
Small speakers don't sound particularly great, but these are at least good enough to let someone else listen with me on occasion. Sound through good headphones is quite good.
The Gtab is good for reading, too; the size makes it easier to handle. I've had some issues with certain e-books, but they're from the e-book or the reader app, not from the tablet.
I'm glad that the Gtab came with Android 4 installed, so I didn't need to wait for an upgrade. However, I'm not happy that there is so much bloatware preinstalled, and no way to remove it without rooting the tablet. I also dislike the fact that there is no way to move apps -- or data that they download/install -- to the external SD card without rooting the tablet. Some apps can't even see the external card (which, I realize, could be the fault of the app rather than the tablet).
Given that Samsung has locked down so many things to internal storage, it would have been nice to have a 16gb device available. I'd have paid an extra $50 for that. Instead, I'll get around to rooting the tablet one of these days so I can ditch stuff I don't use and move things to external storage. For now, though, I'm fairly happy with the Gtab.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color, excellent form factor for travel, came with android 4 ics, smooth video playback
Cons: bloatware that i can't remove, unable to move apps or data to external sd card, should come with 16gb internal storage, touchscreen sometimes slow to respond, battery life with wifi on could be better

Great product outside of a couple minor issues

the minor issues I am having are related to the system locking up for 1 reason or another, but it appears to be related to the OS or apps. Not related to the samsung itself.
THis is my first tablet and I have already recommended it to everyone I talk to.
