[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] One word to describe this oven is: disappointed. I was looking forward to a new oven that I could bake breads (my old oven was stuck on 350F). To my horror I discovered that the oven has cold spots and heats very unevenly. It almost seems that the broiling element heats the entire oven majority of the time (as opposed to lower, baking element). The temperature drops dramatically once the door is open. I am also disappointed with the quality of assembly. The isolation around door is loose, drops down with every use and re-attaching is not possible. Some of the screws came loose or were not prepared correctly for shipping. The additional part for vent was impossible to attach since the holes were in wrong places and screws that were supplied were not self-tapping.
I would be ashamed to put a sticker with "Made in America" on it. I have seen much better quality coming from overseas.

Why Remove The 2nd Rack With Rapid Preheat?

I don't understand why the 2nd rack has to be removed when you use Rapid Preheat. Someone please explain.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Installed the oven just after Christmas. We are both seniors and prefer baking in a conventional oven. It has performed perfectly, it is easy to use and the lock and cool door front are nice safety features when the grand children are here.

Thank you Amana for providing a wall oven comparable to the size oven I was replacing (17 year old oven). I was told I would have to replace my entire cabinet because all of the newer wall ovens were way too large for the existing, space. The oven has very nice features and is perfect for me as a sometime cook. It is white with chrome accents as my kitchen is all white. I did not get charged more because the oven was white. I was also told this at a few different places because the stainless is more popular. The oven heats up quicky which I love and seems to cook evenly and appropriately for recepes.
