I have the Panosonic Model KX-TGF350 with 2 hands free phones with bases.

I loved my phone which I've owned for only 1-2 yrs. Then lightning struck my computer and my landline was on the same strip as all my computer plugs, and now it is not working. Did the strike fry the main base?
Is there anyway to repair it. The back side of the base says there is a place for batteries, however there is no way to open it.

I purchased this as a gift for someone else. Haven't had any complaints so I would think that it is good!
