After I bouht it they were great. After 100 hours the faux leather started to peel. Now after 5 years and 500 hours there is no leather whatsoever! I did not care a lot abou it. But... I borrowed a K701 from my friend and the difference is huge. Now I know my feelings were not only feelings. The headphones just dergaded slowly, almost not using them, sitting on the desk in dark room. I noticed there is less and less bass. But now I know there is NO bass at all. Also the mids are hugely distorted. It never happened to any haedphones I had before.
After 500 hours it just had to start sound great! I am sure they were OK when new.
Horrible crap. I will never buy AKG anymore.
