'Slow' refractor clarity

I picked one of these over 5 years ago on sale and it compliments using larger reflecting telescopes. The high 'f ratio' number in refractor telescopes gives a crisp clear image when observing lunar and planetary detail. Also, you can use less expensive eyepieces with greater eye relief and magnification than with 'fast' low 'f ratio' refractors. I prefer this over my 110 mm reflectors when observing the planets and lunar terrain. It's a grab and go and relatively light weight. One suggestion is to have the handle 'reversed' to provide better tripod balance. A common weakness in most less expensive systems is with the mount stability. A good refractor in the city, with light pollution, can outperform a reflector twice its' aperature.
