Bought this disposal as a replacement for a discontinued model. Pretty quite and works well. Would recommend to other since also smaller than most disposals

Easy install and quiet

When my original disposal went out, my wife & I decided on trying GE as it many options, included Sound reduction technology and DrainBoost technology. The 1 year replacement and 2 year parts warranty were added bonus.
For the install, the instructions were very simple and made the average "do-it-yourselfer" have a simple time of installing and wiring the unit the electric supply.
I would give the whole unit 5 stars, but my wife says that the unit doesn't drain as fast as she would like, but I believe that how I angled the drain pipe to the trap pipe.

GFC530V Disposal Assistance Needed

I have installed 3 GE disposals over the years with no issues. This one, however, is giving a me trouble. I am unable to compress the Cushion Mount sufficiently to get the Hopper to connect to the Mount Ring. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks

Stainless steel neck and chamber

Was easy to install with locking ring. Also runs very quiet. I researched disposers and found this one has stainless for all wet metal parts. As my last disposer corroded out, this was an important feature.
