I bought this item about 3 days ago .It replaced the disposal that was in before. The old disposal was installed in 1999,the old one still worked but i replaced the dishwasher and replace everything together.

Other than a little difficulty mounting up to sink. I love the easy of which it can be replaced should it ever need to.

When my original disposal rusted out (after 20 ) yrs. I went on line to find a replacement. I like GE products and found this to be a great price and powerful to boot. Was not difficult for my husband to install, great instructions and did not take long to do. The fact that it is more powerful than my old one it was a little louder than I expected but after using a few times it did not seem so bad. Love it.
