Easy and simple to install. Sleek design. Taking out another branded disposal was the most difficult part. Looks like it will handle most normal expected operations. Quiet operation as well.

Got this as a present for my new house. Had to return the original for an identical exchange. Installed the original and tested for leakage. Every thing seemed fine until I tested for pressure by filling up the sink two-thirds full and then draining (~5 inches water of head pressure). When doing this the original would leak water from the bottom of the housing on the outside of the wiring box (wiring was dry). On the second installation this did not happen. Not a fan of the mechanical clink that is heard when the unit is energized and when it stops rotating but it's acceptable.
Other than those two issues, the unit itself seems ok.
After installing I tested the unit by throwing different foods through and afterwards inspecting the internals to see if anything got hung up. The visible internals were clean and I was unable to see any sign food material remaining. The unit has a nice low humming sound when running.

Bought to replace our broken one. Chose by price only. When installed it works great but the top does not sit flush in the sink bottom so water builds up and won't drain sink completely

This is a real good piece of equipment. We needed a disposer that was compatible to a septic system. It never clogged up as the old one did. It is very quiet. The old one was noisy and did not cut the waste up fine enough. The GE took everything we put through it with not clogs.
I would recommend this to a friend!
