Quiet and effective

This is a better disposal than my previous one. It is super quiet and is very effective at unblocking the line. I never put anything in it on purpose, but it tends to get blocked pretty easily. Not sure what part of the equation is at fault, hence 4/5 stars.

Bought this to replace one that was broken, and can't believe how quiet it is! It has done great so far, and we have had it about a week. Hope it continues to do well!

Adequate, nothing exciting

1. noise--louder than expected
2. easy to install overall, the nut holding down the bottom plate is difficult to access--too small of an opening around the nut.
3. smaller inlet/throat than the previously installed model could use the previous strainer
4. different mounting--had to remove previous mounting brackets--which I thought were industry standard--at least I have seen the previous mounting brackets on all of the previous disposals that I have worked on.
5. the hole in the cover plate that holds the discharge tube on is too large or the flange on the discharge tube is too small--thus the discharge tube could gap and allow leakage. Added a plastic compression gasket which centered the metal opening and will keep it from leaking. This forced me to install longer bolts, since the ones supplied were not intended to have a gasket under the metal plate.
6. nice size, give a lot more room under the sink
7. space under the bottom plate for the electrical connections is not very generous
