This iron does straighten

This iron does straighten well depending on your hair type. Mine has always straightened easily and would stay straightened as long as I didn't get hot. I usually do multiple passes, but that's not because of the iron, it's because I'm too impatient to slow down while making the pass. It does curl also, but I found that curls made with it fell out rather quickly, so I pretty much stick to straightening my hair with it, and when wanting to curl just use a curling iron for that. I would recommend if you don't have the funds for a better iron. It'll do what it's designed to do.
