Occasionally I forget that I turned it on and open it to add something only to realize that it is mid-cycle. My dishes are clean, it's noiseless, what more could I want?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this particular dishwasher to replace an older, very noisy, dishwasher. You could be anywhere in the house, and the noise was bothersome. We settled on this particular model because of the stainless steel rails on both the top and bottom racks - our previous dishwashers always had problems with the wheels breaking off on the lower rack. We use a single pre-packaged dishwasher soap pack, and the dishes are always spotless. And regarding the dishwasher being quiet? We can't tell if it's running or not. We took the dishes out before the first time the cycle was complete not realizing a light would come on (but they seemed clean at that point, so they may have been close). This was more expensive than what we initially wanted to spend, but given how well it cleans and how quiet it is, I've been very impressed.

Disappointing Performance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this dishwasher in November 2015 and expected it to last for many years. We were impressed with how quiet it was and it cleaned well for about a year. Over the last 9 months the dishwasher started to have a foul odor. We managed to clean out the drainer in the bottom of the dishwasher and I thought for sure the problem would improve. It did not. Not only did the foul odor continue but a dirty film would collect on the bottom of the dishwasher and bottom of the door. Dishes would have small particles of food stuck on them despite thorough rinsing. As of 2 mornings ago the dishwasher will not even turn on. The lights on the control panel are out and the dishwasher seems dead. Repairman is on the way but I can't imagine this being an inexpensive repair. I suspect that the repair will put me about halfway toward the purchase of a new dishwasher. I had a 2 year old GE Profile in another home which actually sat in a garage for 4 months after a major kitchen water leak and was reinstalled and worked perfectly. We purchased this KitchenAid thinking that it was the best. Totally disappointed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the dishwasher 8 months ago switching over from another top brand. After a couple months the dishes stopped getting fully clean. Plates, bowls, pots etc all have to be redone by hand. The pots are right over the jets. We have cleaned and maintained the 2 filters and have made sure the jets are clean. I was very impressed the 1st - 2 months but my mood changed. Remember the saying 'happy wife, happy life'...not happening. Customer service states we must be nesting the contents, not sure what happen when the jets turn on but they enter with room for the jets to reach. Be aware. Looks are great but its what's under the hood...like a car...that matters.
