Install Complete & Making Great Ice

Our install is completed, and our unit was making great ice in 25 minutes. We discarded the initial bin per the owner’s manual and are waiting for the 1st bin we can enjoy just in time for our Super Bowl Party.

Great...but

Makes terrific ice, fast and it looks good! However it doesn’t come with a door and it’s very noisy! Had installed three week, so far good!

Ok ice maker

I have not been pleased with this product. Had to have a technician come out within 3 weeks. Ice is wet and freezes up. Tech told me to read manual to see how to adjust the different types of ice, wet, dry or whatever. Read the manual and what a waste. No where in the manual does it tell you how to make adjustments. Very disappointed in GE Ice Maker
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is my favorite appliance we have in our home. We host a lot, and even when we don't we have 3 kiddos and we go through ice. This machine seems to replace the ice as it is used and we haven't run out yet. I love it so much!

Won't stop making ice

Make ice great and fast, but thought it was supposed to stop when bin is full. It continually makes ice and won't stop, so often spills out when the door is opened.

Hi, We're so sorry to hear of the trouble you're having with your icemaker and know this must be frustrating. The ice maker should automatically shut off when the bin is full. If it's not doing that, we recommend service. Poor ice after a few years

Purchased in 2017. Maintained and cleaned regularly with recommended cleaner. In 2020 it started making thin, lousy cubes. No solution to this problem. VERY expensive under counter space waster.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nice ice maker but it's VERY loud

We've had the ice maker for about a month. It replaced our old GE ice maker which finally died. The thimble-shaped cubes are less desirable than the old small squares but that's a personal preference, not a functional issue. The only complaint is that it is SO loud when making and dropping the ice. It can be heard all the way upstairs. Other than the noise, which I think we'll eventually get used to, it's a good purchase.

Perfect fit to replace old icemaker.

Purchased this icemaker to replace last one as a mutual anniversary gift. Hooked it up and everything is great so far. Its been 4 days. Noise from dropping cubes is noticeable, but love to hear it!
