Inefficient and terribly noisy.

The ice made by the machine is flawless....crystal clear and solid. It’s too bad this is the 2nd GE ice maker I have had which is irritatingly noisy and just seems to cycle way too much. Noticeable impact on our energy bill from this appliance.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Ice cubes too big

Easy installation, makes good volume of nice clear ice cubes. We have had two other brands-by far this is the best!!!

I was really hoping for a high-quality icemaker though this one makes nice ice it is very loud and it seems to me the engineers could’ve done a much better job engineer in more soundproof box

Makes great ice - but so LOUD!

We really like the nice clear ice it makes in a short amount of time - but this is the LOUDEST appliance I’ve ever seen! It sounds like rocks being thrown into a bucket when it drops the ice. If I had realized this I would have put it in the laundry room. We will have to turn it off when we have our gatherings. I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn’t so loud.

Big clear ice

It is a great icemaker. It makes large clear cubes. It is a little louder than our previous GE icemaker but that really doesn't bother me.
