I love the ice machine but it is very noisy to have in your kitchen and it is constantly running to make more ice s it has been hard to get used to

We installed this ice machine at our new house
really disappointing that it makes such a loud noise and the auxiliary pump is always running
had the service folks out many times and they say this is what you get When you buy this GE model
have several other ice makers at other locations by other manufactures and do not have this problem had the supplier Knowles appliances out and they say what we have is the best we will get

Not real impressed with this product. Have already had to ha e a tech out. I am having a issue with ice being wetter than I like and it sticks together. The tech said there were i instructions in owners Manual that explained how to Adjust that. I have read Om and can’t find anywhere where it talks about Changing the ice. OM is worthless
Really disappointed in GE

NEVER TOLD I NEEDED A COVER AND HANDLE FOR DOOR

WAS SOLD THE UNIT WITHOUT KNOWING IT ALSO REQUIRED A COVER FOR THE DOOR AND A HANDLE!!! WOULD HAVE BOUGHT THEM AT THE SAME TIME.

Black Mold

We owned a prior GE undercounted ice maker for 14 years. I cleaned it regularly and never had one problem with it. Fast forward, we had this very expensive ice maker installed a few months ago and the "top hat" cubes sound like cue balls dropping. I kid you not. You can hear it from all over the house. And another problem is when the cubes drop into the bin, they line/stack up against the door. When you go to scoop them out, they fall out on the floor.... But the worst thing, was when I discovered (bent down low enough to see) mold all the plastic parts and it was even on the sides and interior door. That was when it was about 2 months old...3 months ago. We NEVER had mold on our old one....now I have to clean with bleach water every week or so. Ridiculous. Hope we don't get sick.......

Cleaning your ice maker with bleach and a water solution is recommended. However, this isn't something you'd need to do weekly. That said, we highly recommend scheduling service so a technician can take a look at your unit. You can schedule service by calling 1-800-432-2737 or online here: https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm. -- Please know we have a limited one-year warranty on our appliances, so please take advantage during this time.

Had a GE Monogram was so happy with that one I went to a GE Profile Ice Maker and am so please with both of them as they make life so much easier.

I bought this Ice Maker to replace an older version. Great ice just with that it had a place for a filter built in - that's why I only gave 4 stars.
