Makes ice super fast. Only reason why it doesn’t get 5 stars is that it is loud, but we always seemed to have an ice shortage with what our fridge ice maker holds so this was a must have appliance. We will likely just turn it off in the winter months when we won’t use ice as much. It also looks very sleek and pretty.

The Noise

The ice maker makes more noise then I would like. I understand how it operates and love the clear ice. Would have rethought this purchase if I knew about the noise before hand.

It's great at making ice, but it' seems to "dump" ice quite a bit and when it does, it's loud. The day to day operation of the ice maker itself is quiet.

Ice Maker - Not functioning

The ice melts, the level of condensation in the unit is high (wet), when delivered the SS "arm" that holds the thermister was bent and not located correctly. The service technician manually re-positioned (bent it back and stuck it in the retaining hole) the arm and ordered a new gasket. The gasket was replaced on 8/17, system still not functioning. I have called my retailer and asked for a replacement.
I am a long time GE Monogram user, currently remodeling my entire kitchen and will be purchasing 4 new GE Monogram appliances. I am hoping this ice maker is just an anomaly and will be quickly addressed.

Horribly noisy

My husband is an engineer for GE so when we built our house, of course we installed all GE appliances. And, we adore them all...except for the Gourmet Clear Ice Icemaker. It is beyond loud; it is truly disruptive. While it makes ice just fine, we really regret this purchase simply due to the noise. As loyal as we are to GE, we should have explored other brands. Very disappointed.
