Somewhat disappointed with this product, had issues with the following: 1. Trouble with Smart water system FILTER kept getting plugged up every 2 weeks. 2. Door storage space was at a minimal had to purchase extra shelf for door in order to maximize fridge space.
3. Do not like shelf with removable section it does neither right .
4. Fridge of this price should have build in storage for can drinks and also for eggs.
why were these features ever removed from fridges anyway?
5. Should have smudge free SS by now everyone else does

Water and Ice Dispenser

At the end of dispensing water, there is a loud bang/clunk coming from inside the freezer that the repair person was unable to correct. This is not a listed as a normal operating sound. The crushed ice dispenser only crushes some of the ice. The ratio is 1/3 crushed to 2/3 whole ice cubes.

Worse refrigerator ever

A few months after my extended warranty expired I noticed water kept accumulating in the bottom of the refrigerator. After several service calls I was finally told the door did not seal correctly and I would have to replace the entire door. The repairman told me that would be a waste of money as I would be lucky to get 2 more years use out of the frig. So now I have water to clean out of the refrigerator everyday and mold growing everywhere in it. Needless to say my next refrigerator will not be a GE.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Sad replacement for the prior model

This refrigerator was acquired due to the evaporator failure of a six year old GE Café model CSCP5UGXSS that could not be repaired due to the inherent poor design that does not allow for the repair of a leak. The location of the copper refrigerant line is so short, and encased in plastic trim so that a welded connection is not possible, and a compression splice with no seal integrity is the only alternative. I am extremely disturbed that the model this unit replaced had nearly 3 additional cubic feet of capacity, and the entire box including the top and side panels were stainless steel. The CZSSMSKSS only has stainless steel doors.
To be forced to purchase a new refrigerator after on 6 years is a sad commentary due to the prior excellent performance we received with our prior GE refrigerators over the last 42 years. The reduction in space, the additional cost we had to incur to have custom made stainless side panels made, and the LED interior lighting has led us to totally dislike this unit.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

worst fridge ever made

Purchased this 3 months ago and have had to have it serviced twice already. nothing but problems and the worst is that it makes 7 ice cubes every 90 minutes. So we are constantly buying ice or using ice trays to make up the difference.

We purchased this fridge about 6 years ago. From nearly day one the shelves in the freezer would constantly fall out the moment you put any weight on them. Within a couple years the fridge started leaking. Really takes a lot of the appearance of your kitchen constantly having a cloth on the floor beside the fridge to soak up water. Had a guy come look at it. Told us it was just a bad design and not repairable. At approximately the 6 year mark the fridge stopped cooling. Enough was enough. Last GE product I will be purchasing. Here is a pic of this garbage in the back of the truck heading to the dump.

Buyer beware!

I don't like ANYTHING about this refrigerator. The shelves are severely lacking in usable space thanks to the raised cheap plastic all around the sides of the shelves and the refrigerator walls. The raised plastic band around the glass makes everything slant if trying to use all the space. The shelves are difficult to move and it feels like the cheap little tab is going to break off. Don't accidently touch the shelf that is split in two sections, as your stuff will fall all over the place.
The theme of cheap plastic carries over into the drawers. They don't glide smoothly and feel like they'll break. This is the loudest refrigerator, and I'm not just referring to the ice maker. It's always making weird noises. I have regretted this purchase since the first week I bought it. And just when I thought I couldn't hate this refrigerator any more..... as of this morning, the water from the dispenser tastes like mildew. I've had it for 6 WEEKS. Unfortunately, I was very limited in options for a new refrigerator due to the space available and now I'm stuck with this heap.
