Solid gold, nice and cold

We got a great deal on this fridge at a national department store after selecting this model based on careful research of appliances on an on-line consumer magazine. We liked the upper fridge because we access the fridge more than the freezer. There are a lot of standard features (adjustable shelves, great energy-efficient LED lighting, ice maker, water dispenser). We really liked the extra large room to place a cup (or bucket) under the water dispenser and the warning bell that the fridge has been open for too long. My wife says that the new fridge "classes up" the entire kitchen and house. The fridge and freezer are true to the temperature settings. We didn't realize how far off our old fridge was from cold! The placement of the water filter is much more convenient than with models that keep the filter behind the fridge. We like everything about this fridge so far.

We bought this for our new home. It is absolutely perfect and the slate color fits perfectly. the slate color leaves no finger prints.

Good product, noisy fans

Bought this 3 months ago. Works great, but the fans in the back seem to be noisier than I think they should be. Pondering a service call to check them. The noise has diminished some or else I am becoming accustomed to it, but it is noisier than my previous refrigerator.

Nice Design/Looks Great/Makes Ice Quickly

I've had this refrigerator for almost 2 months. It holds a lot of food and drink in the refrigerator section and deli drawer. The freezer and the ice maker are the real treats for me. There is an adjustable freezer drawer that can be configured to hold large boxes like frozen pizzas and there are two super-deep, bottom drawers that can hold large items like a 20-25 lb. turkey. Although the ice maker only holds about 100 big cubes, it makes a batch of about ten cubes once an hour or so, so we have not run out of ice yet, although we use a lot of ice in my household. I purchased the stainless steel color and it looks quite stylish in my kitchen. I am delighted with this product thus far.

GE Refrigerator Review

We did a whole house remodel. We spoke to several sales people regarding which refrigerator they would recommend in our price range. We were looking for a French door refrigerator with water in the door, but after reading quite a few reviews on GE's competitors, most consumers complained about the water dispensers leaking and very few had complaints about GE. We have had our GE refrigerator for 2 months and can say GE has that problem solved. Our biggest complaint is the noise, but now we hardly notice it. We also wished our model offered a retractable top shelf to accommodate gallon milk jugs and tall bottles. We solved that problem by taking out the top shelf. Otherwise great fridge.
