Do not buy GE appliances

Ice maker quit and then compressor went out 2 days later. 1900 to fix. This is only 8 yrs old and 2k to replace. Should last longer. Already replaced microwave and dishwasher of same age.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

While we understand the importance of an appliance and its parts lasting for a long period of time, it is not possible to determine the product or part failure rate, lifespan, or life expectancy. There are multiple variables involved such as frequency of use, type of use, location of appliance, care, and maintenance.

Great fridge! We lost power for 5 days and food remained frozen. Way better than our old fridge!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Leaky garbage. Spent as much on repairs as purchase price. Had for 8 years and nothing but problems. Adios GE.

We are sorry to hear of your experience with this refrigerator leaking. In some cases, it can be more cost effective to replace the appliance opposed to repairing it due to the parts needing to be replaced and the age of the unit.
