Wasn’t a cheap refrigerator by any means so one would expect quality and longevity. This product has none of those qualities.

Wonderful Upgrade
on July 5, 2021
Posted by: HWMS
Inherited the GE® ENERGY STAR® 25.8 Cu. Ft. French-Door Refrigerator with the purchase of a house that remodeled the kitchen in 2016 for the refrigerator upgrade. Loads of room and has a 2021 visual appeal, sadly the WiFi option not included. In the door ice and filtered water dispenser has been a refreshing treat while working on the house. Looking forward to using the bottom freezer drawer for quick food organization. Easy to find online information manuals will insure optimal use and performance maintenance for years to come.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We’ve had the refrigerator for about 4 years now and it will randomly start making very loud noises where I can hear it from my bedroom at night. It will also make a puddle of water on the floor occasionally.

Loudest refrigerator we have ever had

Refrigerator compressor very loud at times. Had to replace the touch panel after the “ice dispense quit functioning. Finish looks good as long as you don’t touch (stainless steel). Now finding freezing temp in back of the wide “temperature controlled” drawer.

Hi, Thanks for your review. We are incredibly sorry to hear of your previous touch panel repair. While the stainless steel does show fingerprints, it can be easily cleaned using mild soap (dish soap) and water, then rinsed with clear water and dried with a soft cloth. Your concern over the material used as well as the issue you’ve had with the unit leaking will be sent for review, as we want to ensure we're aware of any possible areas of concern.
Regarding a leak, if it’s near the water filter you may want to check the filter for any issue and to make sure it’s installed correctly. You may also want to check the water supply line. We have Troubleshooting Tips starting on page 46 of the manual; if you’d like to review those, that’s linked here: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-60792-3.pdf&_. Not satisfied
on December 25, 2022

The ice dispenser on this unit keeps freezing up not allowing ice to dispense. I have to manually removed jammed/froze up opening where the ice is dispensed from. I’m not sure if the flap that covers the opening is the problem or what. I just know it makes a terrible mess each time I have to manually remove the ice jams.

Thank you for connecting with us! At GE Appliances, we strive to deliver the highest quality products and services that meet every need of our consumers; however, we understand that there is always room for improvement. This said, we would like to apologize for any inconvenience this ice maker has caused you.
Sometimes a small mound of frost, snow, or ice will form on the door or flap in the ice chute. This condition is usually normal and typically occurs when you have dispensed crushed ice repeatedly. It will eventually evaporate. You can clean frost from the dispenser chute by using a warm damp sponge.
If you continue to experience issues, you may want to consider having your dispenser checked by a GEA technician. You can schedule service by calling GE Appliance Service at 1-800-GECares (1-800-432-2737) or by visiting this page found on our website: https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm.
We hope this information is helpful, and if you ever need assistance in the future, please feel free to reach out to us. All the best – Matthew@GEA
