Do not buy GE appliances

Ice maker quit and then compressor went out 2 days later. 1900 to fix. This is only 8 yrs old and 2k to replace. Should last longer. Already replaced microwave and dishwasher of same age.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

While we understand the importance of an appliance and its parts lasting for a long period of time, it is not possible to determine the product or part failure rate, lifespan, or life expectancy. Compressor is a little loud, door compartments on the ice door to small,ice maker button needs rubber on it it is scratched already, should have made the bottom fridge draw 2 pieces so you don’t have to open both doors.

Thank you for your feedback about this model. Regarding the compressor sound, we do expect the refrigerator to make some noises as it operates. Modern refrigerators may also sound a bit different than older models because of newer features and added technology. This is the best refrigerator that I Have ever had! It’s really quiet has tons of room for food yet is rather compact in size for all you get with it. My previous GE fridge was 14 years old but I sold it, and before that the GE
I had was almost 19 years old. Highly recommend.

Love my new refrigerator

Just took delivery of this new appliance. So far, so good!!! Pleased to have real ice cubes. My previous appliance always spit out more crushed type ice when requesting cubes.

frosted freezer

Freezer keeps icing up making a big mess. Had one service call an now having someone come on Monday. Got it 3/13/25. Never had a problem with my old frig that I had for 18 years, gave I to a nice couple wish I had it back. I keep a record of what's in all of my freezer so I don't keep door open very long. So disappointed !!
