Decent Fridge - Horrible Ice Maker

I had high hopes for this fridge as I'd been dealing with a side by side fridge that I hated for years. This fridge seems like it still doesn't fit well for our large family and it takes a fairly long time to make ice,doesn't store very much, and the ice maker/water dispenser leaks and drips constantly. The only thing I really liked about the fridge was the price, and now I can see why it was severely discounted.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The icemaker in this refrigerator produces approximately 7 cubes of ice every 70 to 80 minutes which is .21 pounds of ice using about 4 ounces of water. That is about 4 pounds of ice per day. Plastics that break in the cold... In a fridge

Less than 3 years old and the bins in the door are all cracked and failing. Garbage!

Water water everywhere but not a drop to drink.

The refrigerator has been in service for almost 8 years and has performed flawlessly except water supply. I have water to the refrigerator but nothing at the tap and no ice maker function. I’d like to address that but can’t find a service manual. I’m not an appliance guy but do work in refrigeration.

Needs a sweep thing underneath!

While this refrigerator works fine, it is annoying. The motor accelerates oddly, going faster then slower repeatedly. There is no grille or sweep bar under the front and it sits an inch and a half off the floor. This means that Hot Wheels and Legos and all sorts of things fit under there! It also has white parts at the bottom that are visible from the sides. I’ve tried coloring them with a sharpie, but they are still visible. Just annoying! Inside, the shelves are not fully adjustable like my 8 year old GE French door was. There are just a couple of tracks molded in that you can pick. I prefer more customization.

GE fridge

It is a nice fridge, very spacious. It does not have enough room for tall items. The freezer drawer has made a loud squeaking sound when opening the drawn since we got it. Also, the ice machine is so loud! My family can tell I am getting ice from across the house.
