Love the black slate finish. Freezer is spacious since ice tray is located in the door of fridge; refrigerator lights up very well and can see all areas of inside.

Our kitchen requires a French Door refrigerator, and it must be black. This machine met those requirements and we're hoping that it lives up to recent evaluations of GE's reliability. It is replacing a machine less than 5 years old that could not be repaired due to manufacturer's parts shortages. The new unit has more usable space because all of the icemaking/water dispensing equipment and storage is in the door. The shelf placement is not as flexible as our older unit so there are not enough spaces for tall items like ketchup bottles, chocolate syrup, some beer and all wine bottles, etc.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love this fridge.
Water/ice makes this a bit noisey. Not sure if this is normal.
Had to make adjustments to shelves to fit tall things. It’s ok tho. All I. All love this fridge so far.

I love this fridge!! It is very roomy and has so much ease of access! The door does spring back a little but that is because it is new. I wish the sensor for the water and ice was easier to reach (it seems too far back). Everything else is superb! This refrigerator maintains a perfect temp in both the freezer and fridge. It is so pretty in my house as well. I love GE appliances and this one is no exception. It definitely did not disappoint.
