This is the worst refrigerator we have ever purchased! Everything about this refrigerator is really really bad. It's makes a loud noise(condenser). Try to get just a class of water and you will hear a louder noise. I had it only for one week and I can't stand look at it.I wish I can replace it even for a lost! I pray you look into it.

Not Bad But Could Be So Much Better

We like our new fridge. The color and fingerprint resistant surface look elegant in our kitchen. It is much quieter than our old fridge and the water dispenser cools the water to the perfect temperature for drinking. The dispenser cavity is also tall which allows for great access. However, there are a few things we don't like. There is very little room for taller beverage containers like milk and juice cartons, wine bottles, etc. The ice maker is pretty frustrating. When serving the ice, especially crushed ice, it spills ice outside of the circumference of the glass... super annoying. If the last person selected "ice", the the next person who goes to get water has to be careful to switch the setting back to "water". There should be a setting that automatically switches it back to water after 10 or 20 seconds. Also, for a fridge that boasts energy saving features, it seems like it runs constantly. It never seems to take a break. It seems like a waste of energy to me. Even though the fridge is mostly resistant to fingerprints, the front handles are not (I can't understand why not). Lastly, the bottom drawer in the fridge compartment runs the entire width of the fridge. This is a bad design. In order to access it, both doors have to be opened, which allows all of the cool air to escape.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We have not been able to really give an accurate rating, it was delivered to us with issues, such a faulty an motor that is waiting to be replaced, Really not very happy about that.

Shelves are too flimsy

Shelves are too flimsy to hold milk they bend. Handle on freezer falls off. The unit make very strange sounds from the compressor. I would not recommend this fridge to others for the price I expected more.

The new high efficiency compressor may run faster and longer than your previous refrigerator and generate more sound. You may hear a high-pitched hum or pulsating sound while it's operating which is normal.

Compressor failed at 6 months

Compressor failed at 6 months. Soonest GE can provide a fix is over 3 weeks out, so we're stuck. Won't be buying GE appliances in the future.

Lazy ice box

All in all this is a pretty good refrigerator. Apart from the ice maker takes a very long time just to produce 9 ice cubes. And the handle to the freezer is not the right fit I'm pretty sure it's not my fault, the handle is not the right size and it's wabbaly and doesn't fit right. But it gets the job done, food is cold and there is okay amount of room oh the water that comes out of the filter is a very thin strain of water. That's all.
