I'm very disappointed with the refrigerator. First, the freezer handle is NOT permanently attached to the door. It has detached several times, once when my young grandson tried to open the door, he fell backward and almost hit his head on the island--which is several feet away. I was told by two different technicians that's the way GE makes the refrigerator. Personally, I think GE is opening itself to a lawsuit if someone gets hurt. Second, the exterior paint job is poor. About a month after receiving it, I noticed the paint was chipped in the upper corner. I knew of nothing we had done so called service. The technician said the installers had pushed the refrigerator too far into the opening and it was hitting the wall--which was not damaged by the way. I recognize someone was at fault if the door was hitting (I'm guessing my grandson), but I cannot believe paint would chip off under that circumstance--it was hitting flat, and I would have had no way to realize it was installed improperly.
I will say the refrigerator works well, but I personally will not buy GE again.

Its greatest feature was its reliability. As it was being unboxed at delivery, however, it was missing a part (which did not affect its operation) which is backordered. This was a blemish on the extent of quality control leaving the factory. I wish the in-door water dispenser had a little more height in order to accommodate some common sized sports bottles. And I find it a little concerning that with little effort, the freezer section flexes side-to-side. Hopefully, that is not an indication of its durability.

Great refrigerator so far.

This rating is based on our initial impression of the refrigerator. It is a spacious well thought out design with very good functionality. The look is very nice and it does what it says it’s going to do. We have one small suggestion; there should be better contrast of the keypad. It is slightly difficult to read each of the keys. Other units have lighted keys when the light is turned on, or the lettering could have been somewhat darker, and the background could be somewhat lighter.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love the profile and color of this frig. Ease of use to get water and ice from door is a major plus. I also prefer my freezer on the bottom, makes it easy to find what I am needing.

Okay refrigerator

All in all this is a pretty good refrigerator except for the ice maker takes forever to make ice, the water comes out of the filter in a very small amount and the freezer door is unbalanced and hard to fix the handle is loose and impossible to put on correctly
