Decent Fridge

I needed to replace a 12 year old GE Profile and this one was about the same size and a decent price. Pros: well-lit inside with glass shelves makes it easy to see everything; easy to take apart to get in the house; Cons: ice maker in the door moves the water dispenser down several inches compared to the Profile and being a tall person, it seems too low to me. Additionally, the door mounted shelves behind the ice maker meh.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Well Organized Storage

The only issue I have this unit is that the "water from the door" feature only provides tap water temperature water. Our older unit from this family gave us cold water. Tech support suggested that in moving the ice to the door to provide more interior space, it was necessary to remove the cooling coil for the water. It relies on a full ice holder for cooling the water and that just isn't sufficient.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very loud refrigerator

This GE refrigerator is the noisiest appliance we’ve ever owned. It whines constantly and is so loud you hear it through the entire house. Very unpleasant sound. Worst part is this is the second refrigerator in one year. The first one was replaced for the same reason. Pulsating and whining so loud, non stop.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Temperature control is great. The compressor seems to run continuously, and is a little louder than our old fridge. The ice maker in the front door works great, but again, it is louder because all the mechanical workings are right behind the front panel. It would be nice if the LED's that indicate WATER-CRUSHED-CUBED lit up the words instead of the little lights under the words--can't see the words in low light. The flexible shelves have been useful.

Not up to GE Standards

Piece of junk. Must be a Monday refrigerator. Freezes food in the refrigerator area. You can't read the names of the button settings on the control panel. Shelf adjustment lacking. Internal temps totally whacko. Temperature control impossible.
