We hope that you will love this refrigerator and all of the really convenient features it has to offer. The fingerprint resistant stainless steel is beneficial because you can easily wipe away smudges and fingerprints for a look that's always sparkling clean.
Another feature that we appreciate it the spill-proof shelves. If you accidentally spill your drink in the refrigerator- no problem! The spill-proof shelves contains the spill and prevents the drink/food from spilling all over the rest of the refrigerator.

Always bought GE prods since 1974

This is my third GE Refrigerator and we always buy GE products because our GE stove is 6 yrs old, washer & dryer 10 yrs old, and my last GE frig was 13 yrs old. Never a repair or problem with any of them. Now thar's what I call quality products.
I would recommend this to a friend!

SO FAR SO GOOD/COSMETIC ISSUES

I've had my new fridge for a week. It's working great. My chief complaint is the glue holding the stickers on... My fridge is black slate... I have not found anything to take it off yet without hurting the finish. I set my freezer to 0 as the door recommends... everthing frosted over. Now i have it set at 2 and it's working great. Plastic shelving/drawers is not as thick as I'd like but so far it's holding up.

Not all that satisfied with the shelf arrangement. The storage on the inside of the doors is too narrow to hold a 1/2 gallon of milk or juice, etc.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nothing to get excited about

The refrigerator offers nothing outstanding. I DO like the useable storage in both compartments as compared to the side by side I just had to recycle. But, this trade out leaves door compartments restrictive. There is no designated egg storage tray/compartment , whether fixed or moveable.
This is the most appalling thing! Surely with all the scientific knowledge and engineering skills of the present century, someone would have found a way to keep the water dispenser from dripping!!!!! My last GE rusted out from this very issue.
I am aware that stainless has been the popular finish for many years now... give it up! Offer something new. This finish does nothing to enhance my cherry finish, maple kitchen cabinets. Total blah! (same with white, thank you!)

Freezes vegetables in refrigerator drawer

Works fine except it freezes vegetables in the vegetable drawers. Have raised temps, made sure vents not blocked and we still have issues. Going to get service but not hopeful.
