It is a good quality unit. Drawbacks include, water filter prices and availability, lack of air filtration causing ice and other foods to taste like cooked items. Didn't have this issue with my previous unit.

I really like how the freezer drawers are organized. The drawers in refrigerator are so handy at the level that are placed. There's lots of space above and the ice-water feature on the front works well. The filter seems more accessible that on other brands we've owned and the surface is easy to keep clean. It's nice that the freezer drawer also has a handle that I can hang a towel on too.

The ice maker/release is really loud when collecting ice from the dispenser. The ice chest drawer got easily caught on something and did not shut completely. This caused thawing and all ice had to be remade in the ice maker.
Last - You cannot read the illuminated icons/words such as "WATER" or "ICE", so it requires us to use our phone flashlight in order to read our selections.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Freezer handle
