Nice to look at but average overall

We bought this refrigerator to replace a side-by-side LG.
Pros: spacious interior, wide fruit and deli drawers, drawers in freezer with dividers
Cons: motor runs for a long time, loud compressor, loud ice maker, loud ice/water dispenser, lack of lighting on control panel makes it difficult to see the very small words, must open both doors to fully open fruit and deli drawers, shelves don’t seem sturdy, the shelf that adjusts to make space for taller items on the shelf below is very flimsy, less shelf space on the door than a side-by-side

Cheap, plastic rollers and ice maker noise

I feel the quality of GE products have gone down over the years. The refrigerator l just bought has lots of plastic. Even the bottom rollers are plastic and don’t pivot. They scratched my hardwood floor when the refrigerator was moved. The drawers in the refrigerator are all plaster and probably will break from opening and closing after a couple of years. The ice maker and water dispenser are VERY NOISY. I can hear them clear in my living room and bedroom.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Worth the money top quality

I recently had the opportunity to upgrade my kitchen with the latest refrigerator model, and I must say that I am thoroughly impressed with its performance and features. Of this refrigerator has proven to be a remarkable cooling companion, surpassing all my expectations.
One of the standout features of this refrigerator is its ample storage capacity. The well-designed interior offers an abundance of space, allowing me to neatly organize and store all my groceries without any hassle

Replaced the same model, not the same quality

We replaced the same GE fridge that was in our house when we bought - just to maintain the color and make of the rest of the appliances. The old GE leaked on the floor and the ice maker went out, that’s what prompted the purchase. The new replacement Slate model resembles the old, but the fridge shelves and freezer drawer are flimsy by comparison.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Noisy and power hungry

The constant buzz from this refrigerator is so bad, I'm considering putting a smart plug on it to turn it off when watching TV at night. In a quiet house, I can hear this buzz from the master bedroom. It is also less energy efficient than the seven year old refrigerator from a different brand that it replaced, using an average of 300 W more per day to run. I figured this would be more efficient and quieter than the old side-by-side.
