Excellent Design

This product/refrigerator was designed with me in mind. I had a side by side refrigerator/freezer before. My new model has the freezer below, with actual measured freezer space smaller than the side by side, but can actually store much more because of th3 design and the ice maker/water dispenser in th refrigerator door, rather than in the freezer. Genius design, really.

Loud and Messy

We were excited to purchase this but made the mistake of not listening to it plugged in at the retailer. This frig is quite loud compared to any other frig we have ever had. The compressor does stop at times but it is normally running once someone opens the frig or freezer. The water distribution is clunky and tilted causing spills easily. Standard size water bottle cannot be inserted so a hand is necessary to push the water dispensing button. A cup inserted needs to be tipped so the water goes in vs sprays out. The water dispenser makes quite a bit of noise as well once dispensing has finished (clunking noise). It is a roomy frig but the drawers/shelves are standard mounted and really can’t be moved as much as I would like.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It is important to keep in mind that this new high efficiency compressor may run faster and longer than your old refrigerator, especially with frequent door openings. During this time, you may hear a high-pitched hum or pulsating sound while it is operating. The approximate height on the water dispenser on French Door refrigerators is 11” tall from the bottom tray to the dispense point. The water dispenser is designed to accommodate many mugs, glassware, baby bottles, sport and water bottles.
Lastly, the shelves should be able to move up and down along the track within the refrigerator. Nice size

I love the fact that I can fit my large metal cup under water and ice dispenser without having to tilt it. It doesn’t seem as rugged as my 15 year old Samsung but am hopeful it will hold up.

Solid Design - Good Value

I love the fridge - It is basic, but is hard to find a lot of good black refrigerators these days. It could use more organization in the freezer space, but overall, everything is good. The transparent drawers in the refrigerator and the door ice maker are both nice features from our old Samsung fridge with a similar layout.

So far so good with some drawbacks

Ample space in both the refrigerator and freezer. User friendly controls for water and ice. The two main issues is that our left door handle is loose and we only had it for a month. The ice machine is a little small. Overall it’s much improved than our Kenmore.
