This fridge lacks a lot. First, the owner is prohibited from setting temps., except between brief numbers. EG - freezer must be between -6 & +6. Items are hard as a rock.
The drawers are very shallow. Plan to buy small fruit/veg.
Hard to move partitions around to accommodate sizes of items. Also makes a lot of noise.
Be sure to level the fridge before loading. Otherwise, the drawers won't stay in & getting to the levelers on the bottom is very difficult.
All in all, disappointing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The temperature range is set to optimally preserve your food items, but we will certainly report your feedback on that and the other concerns to our Refrigerator Design team for review and future development; your insights are valued, as we always want to know what our consumers think of our models.

Perfect replacement for my Whirlpool Gold

My Whirlpool French door refrigerator stopped making ice. After trying to have it repaired, discovered it had a refrigerate leak in the sealed area they cannot be fixed. I replaced it with this GE and love it. I will only buy GE appliances going forward

Loved it Initally, but looks like compressor fail

Loved all the features of this frig, but looks like compressor failed in just under 2 years. I saw one other review about this. Is it a common problem and shouldn't this be under warranty.

However, we do hate to hear you’re now having an issue with the compressor; we know how frustrating that must be, especially when you’ve only had the refrigerator a couple years. This isn’t what we would expect from this model, and your feedback will be sent to our team for review.

Our limited manufacturer’s warranty lasts for one year, but in some cases the sealed system (including the compressor) may be covered for longer. Poor quality.

Freezer door handle falls off constantly and has to be reinstalled. Doors have a piercing squeak when they open. “Chilled” water is room temp. at best.

Regarding the door squeak specifically, if you think the noise may be coming from the hinges using paraffin wax or petroleum jelly to lubricate the top and bottom hinges may be helpful; we have more information here: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=16837&_. For the concern with dispensed water not being cool enough, if it’s been awhile since you last used it you may want to dispense water until the system is replenished, and allow several hours for the supply to chill. If you recently used a large amount of water, it might take at least 30 minutes for the supply to cool again. Issues affecting the temperature of the refrigerator (such as the door being opened too often or the door seal being damaged) might also affect the water temperature.

Nice looking, sleek. Ice maker is very noisy. Door storage is not very big and cannot adjust to fit wine bottles, freezer side door storage is so small it is kinda pointless to have.

Regarding storage options, some door bins may be adjustable, and we have a Quick Space shelf in the refrigerator itself that can be adjusted to fit taller items on the shelf below; information on that shelf is available on page 16 of the manual, linked here: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-1000472-4.pdf&_. The manual also discusses door bins, as well as normal noises the model may make on page 42; we do expect newer model refrigerators to sound a bit different than older models because of added features/technology. Sounds can include whirring, humming, ice cubes dropping into the bucket, etc.

Great Value French Door Refrigerator

So happy to have a new GE french door refrigerator with the water and ice dispenser! I haven't had it for long, but it is operating well. I like the convenience of having french doors for easier access when storing food.
