We replaced an older GE side by side with this unit and couldn't be happier. This unit provides almost double the storage with minimal footprint increase. Very quiet while operating.

If I had to complain about something, I guess it would have to be the racket the freezer drawer makes when pulling out or closing

It works and keeps things cold as expected. My disappointment is the noise it makes. It is much noisier than the 12 year old refrigerator it replaced. There are 2 different noises. One is the compressor running and the other is something that starts in low mode then ramps up. often it tries to start and then quits and tries again several times before it gets to running.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
