Everything at eye level

This French door/freezer on the bottom model is so wonderful for aging retired couples! The doors open to reveal all your needs at eye level, no bending to see your fresh fruits or fresh vegetables way down at the bottom of the unit! The tops shelves are also adjustable so you can make them as small or tall as your needs require. And with the convenience of the freezer drawer, again no bending to see what is in the freezer. Least used items on the bottom of the deep freezer section, frequently used items in the sliding drawer.
The outside stainless steel appearance is very pretty and sleek. Only thing I would change, that has not one thing to do with the efficiency of this refrigerator, is the color of the sides. The front is Stainless Steel, so I pictured the sides to be more of a matching gray color, rather than the black I have. (However, in my kitchen we can only see one side, but it is the side you see first when entering the room)
I highly recommend this unit. We are empty nesters now, so this 26.6 cu ft model suits us perfectly! We love to cook everyday and this holds all of our grocery items perfectly!

Nice look, but crushed ice is not really crushed

Nice looking and everything is working fine for the most part, but I have had better ice crushers. The ice comes out in lumps, not crushed, and takes a while to come out. Also, though the food seems cold enough, the temperature setting does not match any of the several refrigerator thermometers I have put in the refrigerator. I like my bottled water cold, so I place them in the bottom drawer which is about 3 degrees colder than the top of the fridge (which I guess is expected). I have the fridge set at 35, but no thermometer (3 different brands and models) ever shows 35 degrees in any part of the refrigerator. Previously had a different brand refrigerator and had no issues with temperature using some of the same thermometers. I was in charge of monitoring an environmental refrigerator as one of my responsibilities before I retired, so I know thermometers may be calibrated differently and read differently (even certified), I just wish the fridge temperature behaved more like my previous fridge.

My dream refrigerator

GE is to one of the best products to purchase! There is a lot of room inside and the ice maker is in a hidden compartment the is is pkus!

Good Refrigerator at a Fair Price

This GE refrigerator is a solid choice. It is very spacious and it looks good. The ice dispenser is adequate but noisy. The refrigerator is also a bit noisy at times during its cycle.

Too loud!
