Hi - Thank you for sharing your experience with your new GE refrigerator as your feedback is very important to us. We're sorry to hear you feel the shelf set-up does not allow for storage of taller bottles and that you are having an issue with the freezer drawer handle.

When opening the freezer drawer, we recommend pulling the handle straight out from the middle. To reattach the handle please review page 25 of the owner's manual -- https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-1000472-1.pdf --

If you continue to have difficulty with the handle, please call GE Service at 1-800-432-2737 to schedule a service appointment to have the unit checked.

Also, please review page 16 regarding the Quick Space shelf on your model. If you "fold" the front half of the shelf in as described, you may find you do have the space you need for taller bottles like juice and wine.

We have had no indication that the in-door icemaker is prone to failure and regret you were given this information. We have produced and sold refrigerators with this style of icemaker for many years so we are confident with the performance and longevity. The issue with the doors being installed crooked and making a horrible sound should definitely be checked by GE service. Please call 1-800-432-2737 to schedule an appointment.
